Abiquo provides an enterprise software solution that enables organizations to leverage their existing virtualized infrastructure to drive a dramatically better quality of service to all key stakeholders, including IT Operations, Application and Development teams, and the CFO/Compliance groups.

Benefits include greater agility, visibility, improved utilization, data protection and predictability of the entire virtualized environment, independent of which hypervisors are used, resulting in a significant improvement in productivity and cost savings for the organization.

Introduction

This section is designed to give you a quick Introduction to our product and how it was developed. This starts with our vision; a high level view of how we see the future of cloud management, this is founded on clear strategy, rather than crafted to fit the implementation of an existing product, or the nomenclature of confused terms. Following this there is an overview of the architecture of the Abiquo platform and a look at some deployment scenarios as well as a look at the basic Networking and Storage requirements and possibilities of a cloud environment.

User's Guide

The User's Guide is for the Abiquo users who use the Flex application for virtual machine deployments and infrastructure management. If you are new, It would be best to start by reading the Starting Abiquo for the First Time guide or the Abiquo Quick Tutorial. In this Guide you will also find how to define a datacenter and manage your Virtual Infrastructure, as well as how to add the virtual images into the platform using the Repository Manager. All your movement will be reported in the Event System which is also explained. If you are the System Administrator or the Enterprise Administrator of the platform, you can also see how to manage Users and groups.

Administrator's Guide

The Administrator's Guide shows you how to build, configure and manage your Abiquo platform and is therefore aimed at System Administrators. The easiest method for getting started is either with the installer ISO image in a monolithic architecture or the Network install. It is important that you take into account the Abiquo Configuration Properties section when you choose the installation parameters and as a reference point when you tune components of your Abiquo Platform. This guide will also help you gain a general familiarity with the platform and how to perform all the actions required to create and manage your enterprise private clouds.

Developer's Guide

This document reviews the specifications for creating and managing cloud resources with the Abiquo server using a RESTful API. It will cover the various object models and usage methods for these APIs, and was written primarily for developers interested in integrating dashboards into the Abiquo Resource Cloud. First you should look at how to use the API, its common behaviors and the response errors, note that the Abiquo 1.8 API offers complete infrastructure management. Finally, to help you get started managing Datacenters, this guide has sections on the datacenter resource, and the remote services.
