Display of Hybrid and Optimization tabs

By default the platform displays the Metrics tab only. 

To enable the Hybrid and/or Optimization tabs for users, assign the following privileges to user roles:

Privilege: Display hybrid dashboard tab, Display optimization dashboard tab

Display of billing data

By default, the billing data does not display on the Hybrid tab.

To enable the display of the billing details on the Hybrid tab, configure billing dashboards and assign the following privileges to user roles:

Privilege: Display hybrid dashboard tab, View bills,

The pricing cost per VM widget is an optional part of the billing dashboard. To allow the display of this widget, assign the following privileges to user roles:

Privilege: Display hybrid dashboard tab, View bills, and Display VM cost view widget (hybrid tab)


Configure billing charts

To configure the number of months to display bills for and the currency conversion factors to use, use UI configuration properties. See Configure Abiquo UI

Configure billing data

If there is no data, the Billing sections will not display.

To configure the scripts to obtain data for the billing sections on the Hybrid tab, see Display cloud provider billing data.


Display enterprise statistics on the Metrics tab

By default for users, the Enterprise resources panel will display usage for virtual datacenters only.

To enable the display of enterprise statistics, assign the following privilege to user roles.

The user can now select virtual datacenter or enterprise statistics.

To enable the display of enterprise limits in the enterprise and virtual datacenter statistics, assign the following privilege to user roles. The display of usage will now incorporate the allocation limits of the enterprise and virtual datacenters with orange markers for soft limits and red markers for hard limits.

To configure other dashboard options, see Configuration View#Dashboard. For example, the statistics are updated at the interval set with the "Refresh interval for dashboard" parameter.

The administrator dashboard has a list of enterprises in the left panel. This list displays because the administrator has the following privileges and multiple enterprises in their administration scope.

To display the switch enterprise button, as shown in the above screenshot, the user must also have the privilege to switch enterprises.

To jump directly to a resource in another enterprise by clicking on the resource name, the user will need the privilege to switch enterprises.

Configure the thresholds for highest and lowest usage of CPU and RAM

On the Optimization dashboard, the default lower threshold for the highest CPU and RAM usage is 80%. The default upper threshold for lowest CPU and RAM usage is 30%. The threshold values will display in the widget headers. To configure these values, set the client.dashboard.widgets.defaultvalues property. See Configure Abiquo UI.




Configure the thresholds for longest time deployed

On the Optimization dashboard, the default lower threshold for the longest time deployed is 90 days.  The threshold value will display in the widget header. To configure these values, set the client.dashboard.widgets.mindaysdeployed property, which has a default value of 90 days. See Configure Abiquo UI.
